Talking about masters of graphic design who had a strong influence in this art, how can I not mention Max Bill? As an architect, painter, artist, typeface designer, industrial and graphic designer he changed the concept of art of the early 20th century. (1)
One of the pieces of art that I personally find very interesting and describes the essentials of is work is the poster he designed for the Olympic Games of Munich in 1972. It was pure functionalism and geometry. He influenced graphic design innovating with the idea of clarity and precise proportions (2). He introduced mathematic laws and physics in a composition.
I believe he had an important influence in my designs and pictures because he showed me that less is more. That a page does not have to be completely full of information to attract people. He thought me that simplicity and concrete art are the basics to achieve an effective design. (3)
