Time perception.

Did you ever have the feeling that time doesn’t actually exist? That it goes so fast that you can’t even tell it is there? Well, I have this sensation all the time and I believe there is something around, like the earth spinning faster, or the moon getting further from the Earth, that is causing a day having 18hs instead of 24. I heard this before somewhere, and although I haven’t research enough to probe it, I can say my days feel (for real or just a sensation) shorter that 6 years ago.
Therefore, during my break, I did many things, but I feel it went so fast that I haven’t done anything and I need another break from my break. However, when I think about all the activities I have done, my theory about time is being questionable. I have actually done something. I spent time with my parents, with my boyfriend who I hadn’t seen in 10 months, I learned how to do bookbinding and made 3 different books, I knitted crochet baskets, I started a calligraphy course again, I travelled to Wilson’s Prom and to the Great Ocean Road, I read a book about colour, I read another half of a book about geometry, I quit an internship I was doing because it was a completely waste of my ‘time’ so I started looking for another one and got all my online portfolio and resume ready for applications, plus at the same time, I never stop working at nights at the restaurant that pays my bills, I also had the staff party there, I went for dinner around 15 times, and to the movies including a roof top cinema under the very traditional Melbourne rain two times, I also went to the beach and the pool several times, and I still feel like summer is gone and I haven’t done nothing at all.
Why Roci? Why do you feel like you haven’t done anything if you have? Stop pushing yourself that much! I am staring to think I have some kind of anxiety disorder and time perception alterations. Don’t worry reader, I am working on it.
